About Ecom Field Guide

Chad Norris Chad Norris manages Amazon advertising for brands through Tide Flow and builds Amazon and Shopify software, including the Orbitloft apps and the Vendara suite. He discloses those interests wherever they are relevant.

Ecom Field Guide exists because most "best Amazon tools" and "best Shopify agencies" lists are written by the companies they rank or by affiliates who have never used the products. This site is written by someone who runs Amazon advertising for brands and ships Shopify apps through app review, and it tries to say plainly what that experience does and does not cover.

What the guides come from

Two kinds of material: things the author has done (managing Amazon advertising, building and submitting Shopify apps, running email programs), and things researched from official documentation and vendor pages. Each guide says which is which. Where a claim comes only from a vendor or a third-party blog, it is labelled as such.
