How we review and what we list
Software, agency and app lists go stale fast. This page explains what a listing here means so you can judge how much weight to put on it.
What "listed" means
- The company exists and its own site shows the work. For agencies we check that the agency's own website describes work on the platform in question. We state what we checked and the date.
- Not an endorsement or a ranking. Listing does not mean we recommend an agency, and order carries no meaning. We say so when we have used something ourselves.
- No payment for placement. We do not accept money to be listed or to be listed higher.
What we do not claim
We do not call listings "vetted" unless the card says what the vetting was. We have not audited agency delivery, and we do not invent ratings, review counts or traffic figures.
Sources, in order of weight
- Official documentation and program pages (Amazon, Shopify, the vendor's own terms).
- The company's own site, with the date we read it.
- Direct use by the author, described as such.
- Third-party blogs and forum reports, used only for color and always flagged.
Affiliate links
Affiliate links are marked rel="sponsored" and disclosed near the link where practical. Whether a program pays never decides whether a product is listed or how it is described. Products we do not earn from are listed on the same terms.
Keeping it current
Each page shows a checked or updated date. We re-check listings on a regular cycle and when a reader flags a change; see corrections.
